Jenel Taylor

Director of Nursing

It is with profound sadness that we share the news of the passing of our esteemed Director of Nursing, Ms. Jenel Taylor, on December 12, 2023.

Ms. Jenel was a pivotal member of our team from the very beginning, a blessing that touched each of us deeply from day one. We will miss her dearly, as she was not just a colleague but also a dear friend, mentor, and role model. Holliday's Helping Hands organized a candlelight service in her honor, and our entire staff came together to remember the positive impact she had on our lives. We stand in support of her family, friends, colleagues, and everyone who knew her, and we take this moment to celebrate the life of Ms. Jenel Taylor.

Ms. Jenel Taylor-HuntJenel joined Holliday's Helping Hands in 2018 as Director of Nursing. She oversaw a team of nursing staff attending to hundreds of clients’ health needs. Jenel’s day-to-day activities included: communicating with County Interim Housing staff, members of the HHH team, clients, and family members regarding client health; overseeing department budgets; managing client data; and implementing new procedures and policy training. She worked closely with the Housing for Health clinical team on referrals to HHH’s numerous care facilities.

A caretaker to the core, Jenel was dedicated to developing and maintaining high standards of care for all clients and cultivating a highly-skilled nursing staff, by providing ongoing education classes, and actively recruiting, training, and onboarding of new nursing team members. She held a B.S. in Nursing and planned to complete her M.S. in Healthcare Administration and Leadership by the end of 2023.

What is the most important part of your day?

“The most rewarding part of my day within HHH is seeing our clients complete our program by showing good behavior, medication compliance, and being housed. It warms my heart to see the hard work and dedication of our team and clients working together with one end goal: achieving housing and having a better life. The mission of our organization speaks volumes because it is a total reflection of what we do every day.”
